Traditional Industries

The traditional industry sector in Israel faces many challenges, in line with the sector in other western countries. This includes strong competition from the Far-East, a strong shekel, shortages in the Israeli professional labor force, a relatively small home market and, at times, unstable regulatory environment and more.

At the other hand, Israel's relatively recent natural gas discoveries have allowed local industrial companies to benefit from a significant reduction in energy costs. In addition, Israel's strong high-tech sector provides benefits to the more traditional industrial sector with spill-over of managerial talent as well as client base for some industries.

Over the last few years TASC has advised a wide range of clients from the traditional industry sector with a focus on export strategies, growth strategies and marketing strategies.

TASC assisted a company in the metering field in the development of a five-year strategic plan to expand the operations of the photonic division with a special focus on penetration of new markets.

TASC advised the largest ceramics producer and distributor in Israel by developing a comprehensive business and marketing strategy for the Israeli market. This included defining a corporate strategy for the company, identifying the optimal business and sales models, focused on increasing profits and developing long-term growth and profitability goals.

TASC devised a long-term strategy and implementation plan for a leading holding company with several different industrial companies in their portfolio. In the context of the project a number of new areas of activity were identified that have been turned into highly profitable businesses.

TASC has developed the international expansion strategy for a leading Israeli industrial company. An acquisition based expansion strategy was developed which the company is currently implementing.
