Characterization and design (UX/UI) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development system

Ongoing work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to characterize, design (UX/UI) and maintain the ‘Yeela’ system.
  • Business Dilemma:

Following a series of Design Sprint workshops for the Ministry of Agriculture focused on service- process design, a decision was made to develop a new system called ‘Yeela’. This system will facilitate information retrieval and enable various regulatory actions in conjunction with the ministry. TASC was selected to continue supporting the Ministry of Agriculture in the ongoing characterization and design (UX/UI) of the ‘Yeela’ system. This involves close collaboration with both the business service process characterization team and the development team, covering the entire process from the initial business characterization phase through to the system’s launch.

  • Process:

The ‘Yeela’ system development process focused on comprehensive UX/UI design and characterization. It involved creating tailored mockups, proposing design alternatives for optimal user experience, and designing both new and existing service processes. A key component was developing and managing a Design System, including adding new features as needed. Throughout, the team prioritized creating a user-centric design to efficiently meet the needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and its service users.

  • Strategic Solution & Impact:

TASC created interactive prototypes to illustrate new service processes, engaged end-users and guided the development team. By developing an updated design system for ‘Yeela’ and characterizing, designing, and implementing new business service processes, TASC ensured an intuitive and efficient system. This approach refined the development, aligned the product with user needs and ministry requirements and, ultimately, enhanced the Ministry of Agriculture’s service delivery capabilities.
