Characterizing full digital work as part of the digital transformation of the criminal process

Accompanying the Israel National Digital Agency and partners in the criminal process to characterize full digital work as part of the digital transformation of the process in all bodies
  • Business Dilemma:

TASC was asked to assist in an interministerial project to implement full digitization of the criminal process from beginning to end and improve the efficiency of the law enforcement system in Israel. This process is aimed at achieving full digitization of investigation materials and legal documents, implementing smart digital work capabilities in criminal cases, and enabling automatic communication between the bodies involved in the criminal process.

  • Process:

The process included performing in-depth interviews with professionals to map the existing work process; conducting user interviews and analyzing their needs; performing an international benchmarking study; and facilitating brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops with users. All the above were carried out separately for each body involved while adjusting the process to its specific needs and characteristics.

  • Strategic Solution & Impact:

TASC delivered a comprehensive business and technical characterization for criminal case management, including persona-specific action plans and an implementation roadmap. This tailored approach addresses diverse user needs, laying the foundation for a fully digitized and efficient criminal justice system. The solution improves workflow processes, enhances inter-agency communication, and promises improved case management and overall law enforcement effectiveness.
